Cathedral Chapel, noted for its warmth and welcome, is one of Los Angeles' oldest churches. Our patron saint is St. Vibiana, the patron saint of Los Angeles Archdiocese. Hence, the church is also know as Cathedral Chapel of St. Vibiana. Distinctive in its Spanish architecture, the church was built in 1927 as Pro-Cathedral. Cathedral Chapel is a vibrant Catholic community serving the needs of around 1000 families in the Hancock Park, Miracle Mile, Park La Brea, and mid-west L.A. areas.
Located in the heart of Los Angeles, in the Mid-Wilshire, Museum district. From the I-10 Fwy, exit La Brea north, crossing Olympic Boulevard, church is on the left. From I-170, exit Highland Avenue going south, turn right on Wilshire Boulevard, left on La Brea, church is on the right. Minutes away from Beverly HIlls, Hollywood, Downtown Los Angeles, Santa Monica.
As requested, usually Saturdays at 10:00 am or 2:00 pm. At least 6 months prior to desired date.
Is an area behind the church which can be rented for small private receptions or gatherings after Baptisms, Funerals, or even Weddings.
Hall Capacity: Approximately 100 people for a Reception; 50-75 people sit-down. Please call the Parish Office for rental fees. Rental fees include round and buffet tables, folding chairs, insurance.
