STEWARDSHIP
Time, Talent & Treasure

2013 STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM

A MESSAGE FROM FR. TRUC

Now the body is not a single part, but many.
You are Christ’s body, and individually parts of it.”

(1Cor. 12)

Dear Faculty, School Parents, Students, and Parishioners:

“Begin the New Year by Giving” is our parish’s stewardship of Time, Talent, and Treasure.  This weekend, I am coming to you and seeking for your generous support of our parish ministries for this year 2013.

I hope a number of you had the opportunity to review our 2012 parish financial report (income & expenses).  Last year was unique and historic for our parish’s repair and renovations.  These projects would not have been possible without your prayers and continued financial support.
I am forever grateful.

2013 Offertory Goals: 300 Families using the Envelopes and $22.00 per family per week

Based on 2012 actual offertory record, there are 340 active registered families  who come to church on regularly; 250 families are using our Sunday envelopes as part of their weekly Sunday offering.

My hope as a parish, is to reach the goal of increased envelope users from 275 to 300 families, and who will make a commitment to regularly use the envelopes for their Sunday offerings.

In dollar amounts, what does this look like as a goal? According to our financial report for 2012,
assuming there are 300 families who contributed approximately $325,000 dollars, then the average offering amount per family is $21.00.

Therefore, when we compare our 2010, 2011, and 2012 financial report, our parish goal for 2013 offering needs to be at $22 per family per week.  Base on 300 families, this will equate to about $6,600.00 per week, multiplied by 52 weeks, totals $343,200 dollars.

Please pray and reflect with God and your family, to be generous with God especially when you have to make some sacrifices.  I ask that you continue to reflect and pray for the various ways on how you can begin the New Year by involving in the life of the parish in 2013.

Catholic Education is an Advantage for life! New Science Lab & Art Center Construction Begins in April 2013

Education and Faith Formation are the wings that we want to instill in all of our students attending CCS.  Our faculty and staff have these two-fold missions:
Providing the best education for our students from English, Science, Math, Arts, and Sports…

Evangelizing the Christian faith and moral values of Christ to our students through reading and reflecting the Word of God and praying.

This year, I want to acknowledge members of the school board especially Gary Herman who is the chairperson; their efforts meeting every two months, have been tremendously helpful in developing a plan to sustain the viability of CCS such as communicating with our alumni, fundraising events, facility planning, and marketing of our school.

Ms. Tina Kipp, our school principal, together with the faculty and staff, worked tremendously hard as a team.  I am so proud of their commitment and dedication.  They create and bring about the great success stories of our school and the high standards of achievement to our students.

The faculty and staff cannot achieve these two-fold goals without the help of the parents of our students.  We too have the best outreach to the parents.  I am grateful to the parents for all your sacrifices and love.
