Marriage
Thank you for considering Cathedral Chapel for
your special occasion.
If you wish to get married in our church:
A Registration for Marriage Preparation Form
must be completed and submitted to the parish
office at least 6-9 months prior to the requested
date of wedding.
Please call the Parish Office to request a copy
of this form and for other inquiries such as
date availability and other preparation details.
Marriage Preparation Fee
Donation made payable to Cathedral Chapel
(please call the parish office for fees).

Once you have confirmed your date, you will be asked to submit
the required paperwork below .
Marriage Paperwork
- Recent copy of baptismal certificate(s) for Catholics
- First Communion certificate(s) Catholics only
- Confirmation certificate(s) Catholics only
- Letter of Freedom: 4 all together (two (2) for each applicant)
- Pre Marriage Questionnaire
- Certificate of completion for Pre-Marriage Class or Pre-Marriage retreat.
Please contact the Archdiocese Office of Family Life for Pre-Marriage
classes and retreats at 213-637-7250.
- If necessary, Dispensation for Disparity of Worship
- If necessary, letter of permission from bride's home pastor or if it's an ecumenical
marriage and the groom is the Catholic party, then a letter of Permission from
the groom's home pastor.
